Seaspray Lane House
Christchurch
A triangular site with near vertical contours demands a strong design. The Seaspray Lane home is a collection of three distinct volumes, with their angle and height to suit the contours directly under each form.
This meant less digging, which saves money, and enabled the building to look over the neighbours to the delightful view of Sumner village.
The narrow footprint of the building is a response to the extremely steep site, and has resulted in a home which is flooded in light from both sides.
