The client had bought this house because of the huge north facing section.  We were asked to enlarge the dining room and build an outdoor living area.

The bricks originally from a glasshouse conservatory were recycled and used to form the new laundry, toilet and central heating boiler room.

At the same time, we enlarged a dark old study creating a nice little covered porch to the west for the late evening sun and access to a previously 'forgotten' corner of the site.
